Institute for Manufacturing Technologies of Ceramic Components and Composites (IMTCCC)

Demanding applications in the modern industry require customized materials and manufacturing technologies. The IMTCCC developes solutions for those challenges in the fields of composite materials, high-performance ceramics and surface technology.

Modern material systems from the fields of high-performance ceramics, composite materials and surface technology are combined at the IMTCCC. The main focus is on the development of structural and functional components as well as high-performance surfaces and lightweight solutions for applications in the fields of:

  • Automotive
  • Aerospace industry
  • Health technology
  • Machinery and plant construction
  • Energy and power plant engineering

These concepts developed at the institute are divided into four different research areas:
